📅 May 24th is Aden Perry Day in the City of Sunrise

In honor of the anniversary of the day Aden received the Proclamation and Medal of Valor from his hometown for his final, most selfless act, we are seeking to recognize a hometown hero on this special day.

Aden was an extraordinary young man—brilliant, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping others. He tragically lost his life after jumping into a lake in an attempt to save someone else. His courage and selflessness define what it truly means to be a hero.

To carry forward Aden’s legacy of kindness and service, the Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund was established to support students on their academic journeys.

🎓 Award Opportunity

This opportunity is open to ALL STUDENTS who are residents of Aden’s hometown (City of Sunrise) 🏡.

🏆 Award Details

🎓 Graduating Seniors Will Receive:

• 💰 A college scholarship

• 🎁 Aden Perry Fund SWAG

• 🎒 A customized foundation JanSport backpack

📘 Students in All Other Grades Will Receive:

Everything needed to start the 2026–2027 school year, including:

• 💻 Apple laptop

• 🎧 Headphones

• 🎒 JanSport backpack filled with school supplies

• 📖 Gift card to Barnes & Noble

• 🎁 Aden Perry Fund SWAG

✅ Eligibility Requirements

Applicants of any age must:

• 📚 Be currently enrolled in school and planning to continue for the 2026–2027 school year

• 💖 Have performed an “out of the ordinary” act of kindness that reflects being:

  • Kind

  • Selfless

  • Brilliant

  • Inspirational

  • 🌟 An everyday hero—just like Aden

• 📸 Provide proof of their act of kindness

• ✍️ Submit a written explanation describing their actions

• 📝 Include the following information:

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Age

  • Grade

  • Current school

  • Proof of residency in the City of Sunrise

🎓 Graduating seniors must also include:

• Name of college, technical school, or first responder academy

• ⏰ Deadline: Midnight, Saturday, May 23rd
